Back to guitaring

Just spent the past 2 hours just blasting it out on the guitar, with my new 13 gauge strings totally screwing up the action on my guitar, I was forced to use paper to raise the strings up a tad so the guitar wouldn't buzz.

On the plus side, I had a lot of practice on my vocals and I met a fellow named Tyler who seems to be musically inclined. Vocal wise I'm happy to note I can still hit those high notes, thank goodness nothing's really changed in my voice.

Now I just need to increase my repetoire of songs then maybe just maybe I can find a job at a lounge/ pub.

Trying to get grounded again

It's been a while since I've felt this close to church, I won't say I'm too close to God yet but I can feel my spirit being uplifted by the goodness of the people around me.

I think Hillsong might be the right choice for me to grow and learn, and the connect groups I've been to have been fantastic.

Home away from home

After my three week break I'm back in Sydney in my new room which is bigger than the old one, much quieter, and I extended my bed with a crate, pillows and a blanket which has made it into a sofa when the guys come over to play games and watch tv.

My operation went well, leg doesn't get stuck like last time. Suspect in a few weeks I'll be able to be as flexible as I'm ever going to be, and in a few months I'll be in decent shape.

Hope to find myself a job playing my guitar at a pub this semester if that doesn't work perhaps a waiter or bartender job. Parents offerred to help but an admin job sounds really boring.

So main things to join are: Art school? Golf lessons, bartending lessons and more practice for guitar.

Australia vs. Japan

Do you want to know what is one of the most glorious things in life to experience? When the underdog wins.

I know it has been a few days since this happened but that night was one of the most glorious things to happen in my 21 years.

So Japan was up 1 point and we come into the second half, this idiot german guy pops up in the middle of the game, and starts bad mouthing Australia behind the Australian side of the table. He and a girl start talking about it loudly behind us. So being the loving caring guy that I am, I not-subtly gave him the signal to shut the * up. So like a wonderful fairy tale the socceroos heard our cries for one goal, then our screams for another and whoa another. I promptly turned around in great sportsmanship and laughed loudly at this german kid's face, following which I danced around the wool room with much gay-ity.

Yes I am a wonderful person.

The greatest profession of them all

So today I came back from dorm lunch after looking through those wonderful corporate law notes and thought about my dive and desire to jump into just about every career I had ever dreamed off. First the medical (opps too boring thanks), the law (opps too much thanks), the psychology (Opps too crazy thanks) and now I'm right at the end with the CPA (Omg what have I done, thanks). From hoping to help people via medince, to helping people via law, to helping people via mental to helping people via money, or was that helping me via money?

So after sorting myself through all professional sorts of degrees I have decided to professionalise myself in that one glorious area of life which is Money.

I think finding the humour in disaster is very important.

But I keep my dreams in the back of my mind. Always in the back of my mind (MOVIES, COMICS, TV SHOWS, SCRIPT WRITING, WALKING DOWN THE RED CARPET, MUSIC STARRRR!!!!)

Yes always in the back of my mind.

This commerce degree gets harder and harder to do every year. So I thought I should write down why I do it so I never forget the reason why I put myself through all the hardship of studying this boring dry crap.
